The December 2017 issue of The Legend features Paul Meyer’s original-owner Regimental Red 1967 GTO convertible, which Paul ordered new from Rodgers Pontiac in Dayton, Ohio. Paul’s Great One is the “economy” version, equipped with a two-barrel carb, rare because only 2,967 1967 GTOs were built like this. “Since 1967 (now with 124,000 miles on the odometer), this car has been my baby,” he says. “Since I didn’t find Miss Right until I was 34, I spent much of my free time keeping this treasure in pristine condition. The car has never been wrecked, raced or modified. The paint is the original, factory-applied lacquer, and the interior is all-original. Even the AM radio and jeweled clock still work. No engine overhaul or transmission rebuilding has ever been done.”
Also in the December issue: “2018 Convention Corner” with Vic Schreck; “New-Generation GTO Concours Judging” with Chris Winslow; “Dangerous Tires” with Steve Schaeffer; and “Kirban’s Korner” with Dennis Kirban.
All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the December 2017 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
