The February 2018 issue of The Legend features Rick Miller’s 1967 GTO hardtop, which Rick’s son-in-law has named “The Red Rocket” and four-year old grandson calls “Pawpaw’s Red Race Car.” A 1987 frame-off restoration painted in Torch Red, a popular 1990s GM color, Rick purchased it in ready-to-drive condition. The GTO has gradually undergone a series of light restorations—trunk refinishing, new carpet, drip moldings, window seals, dash pad, chassis paint, etc. “I like to refer to it as a time machine, because it will ultimately take you back in time for a brief period,” Rick says.
Also in the February issue: “2018 Convention Corner” with Vic Schreck; “Converting to Rear Disc Brakes” with Steve Schaeffer; “Pontiac Pickers” with Mike Wehring; and “Kirban’s Korner” with Dennis Kirban.
All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the February 2018 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
