The February 2019 issue of The Legend features Nick Francis’s Tiger Gold 1966 GTO hardtop, equipped with tri-power, a wide-ratio four-speed and a 3:55 rear. Nick bought the Goat in pristine condition (the previous owner had purchased the car in 2011 at a Barrett-Jackson auction; it had undergone a frame-off restoration). He’s only had to perform minor work to keep the GTO in excellent showing and driving condition. Nick and his wife acquired the car following their move from Florida’s Space Coast to the corn fields of Iowa, after he retired from an aerospace firm. In that respect, the move “brought me to my Field of Dreams!” he says.
Also in the February issue: “Convention Corner” with Don Kruse; “1971 GTO Upgrades” with Jim Stukenborg; “GTOAA Street Legends Route 66 Cruise” with G. Tom Oxler; and “Members GR8 PL8s.”
All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the February 2019 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
