The January 2018 issue of The Legend features Ron Randazzo’s Palomino Copper 1970 GTO hardtop, which Ron purchased in 1986 from Rare Performance Motors of Tempe, Arizona. Ron’s Great One, a fully documented, numbers-matching car, is equipped with tons of options, among them the vaunted YA Code 455 HO engine, automatic transmission, air conditioning, power windows, AM/FM, and power steering and disc brakes. The GTO is affectionately named “Goldie,” and over the years has undergone a full frame-on restoration. Her claim to fame, among several Concours awards at the GTOAA Nationals, is inclusion in Tom DeMauro’s Original GTO Book.
Also in the January issue: “2018 Convention Corner” with Mike Gettys; “Hydroboost Braking” with Jim McCarthy; “Shriners’ car Show” with Tom Monzo; and “Car Life 1970 Review” with Dave Appleby.
All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the January 2018 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
