Highlights from the November 2018 issue of The Legend

The November 2018 issue of The Legend features Diane and Mike Matthews’ 1965 LeMans Sport Coupe, purchased from its original owner in 1985 and still driven daily. “We tow our kayaks with it, tent camp, take it shopping, to the dentist, whatever the spirit moves,” says Diane, who has named her Pontiac “LeMoms.” A GTO in every respect except for the smaller-displacement 326 V-8—the original owner ordered it with a heavy-duty boxed frame, Safe-T-Track rear and “other GTO goodies”—LeMoms now sports a 2004R automatic (which replaced the original two-speed Super Turbine 300), custom upholstery, rebuilt motor with a mild cam, Street Demon carb, Torq-Thrust II wheels, BF Goodrich radials, KYB gas shocks, G-Max front and rear sway bars, Rally gauges, Pertronix electronic ignition, and Flowmaster exhaust.

Also in the November issue: “2019 Convention Corner” with Don Kruse; “Chapter Awards 2018” with Denny Deal; “Tom Foster History” with John Johnson; “Pontiac Hall of Fame” with Vic Schreck;; and “Russ Gee Memorial” with Tom Szymczyk.

All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the November 2018 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
