It’s baaaaaack! Thomas Brumley’s Signet Gold/gold interior/black vinyl top four-speed 1967 hardtop—bought new in 1967, sold a few years later, then reacquired from the second owner, who had done a frame-off restoration. The car is still numbers-matching (except for the transmission). Tom changed over to Rally I wheels, redline tires and installed red fender liners. It’s named “Beth,” after Tom’s daughter, who was almost born in the car in 1968. “How many times does a car guy get to buy back one of his original cars?” Tom notes.
Also in the March issue: “Convention Corner 2021” with Joe Morgan; “Yes, Please: Class GTO vs. New-Gen GTO” with Milt Vine; and a tribute to the late Steve Ames, founder of Ames Performance, from various GTOAA members. All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the March 2021 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
