Gordon Gondek’s 1967 hardtop GTO is a beautiful example of a Resto Mod. While it looks stock except for the Cragar S/S wheels, pop the hood or sit in the driver’s seat, and you’ll quickly realize that this classic is equipped with all the goodies that make it a reliable driver as well as a show-stopper: front disc brakes, F.A.S.T. fuel injection, TKO 600 five speed with overdrive, rebuilt factory air converted to R134A refrigerant, Global West front tubular control arms, Hotchkis rear control arms and front and rear sway bars, Pupes three-inch stainless steel exhaust with electric cutouts, Mickey Thompson S/R radials, Thunder Road instrument panel and Auto Meter gauges, and a six-speaker sound system with MP3 input. As Gordon describes his GTO, “All of the original muscle car with some of the modern upgrades that make it a unique, comfortable and a true pleasure to drive.”
