The August 2017 issue of The Legend features Wayne Guy’s Cyclone Gray, six-speed 2006 new-gen GTO, which in 14 years has clocked only 2,300 miles on the odometer. Wayne came upon the car in May 2011 at Spring Carlisle, where a Lockhaven, Pa., dealership was displaying it with only 611 miles on the odometer. The dealer had sold the GTO new to someone who apparently almost never drove it, and was soon traded back with only 480 miles on it. “That’s close enough for ‘new’ for me,” Wayne says. “After a brief negotiation, I finally realized my 42-year dream of owning a new GTO. My patience (or procrastination) had paid off!”
Also in the August issue: “1982 Revisited” with Tony Bastien; “PonaVettes?” with Jeff Lovitvh; “2016 Pontiac Museum GTOAA Regionals” with Tom Oxler; and “Kirban’s Korner” with Dennis Kirban.
All this and more—classified ads, the GTOAA Club Store, etc.—in the August 2017 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
