The February 2016 issue of The Legend features Kevin Bartoli’s 1970 Ram Air III Judge hardtop, which he purchased in very rough condition for a mere $2,500 and, with his father’s help and a superb paint job by Prestige Motor Works in Deer Park, Long Island, restored to Concours Gold condition. Kevin, a member of the Long Island GTO Club, says his goal “was to have this car look like it had just come off the assembly line.” That he achieved his goal is an understatement! This Starlight Black beauty sports a red interior, black vinyl top, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with 8-track player, hood tach, Rally II wheels, power front disc brakes, power steering, rear spoiler, YZ 400 4-bbl engine, Turbo Hydramatic transmission, Safe-T-Track rear, remote mirror, Rally Gauge cluster with clock, Soft-Ray tinted glass, power windows, power trunk release, power door locks, rear window defroster, and under-hood and trunk lamps. The GTO debuted at the first GTOAA/POCI Co-Vention in Dayton, Ohio, and took home Concours Gold awards from GTOAA and POCI.
Also in the February issue: “Convention Corner” with Milt Vine; “Ignition Condition” with Steve Schaeffer; “The Safe and the Serious: Drive Now, Text Later Campaign” with Jim Weicherding; a book review of How to Build a Car with Curtis and Rusty Roehm; and “Late Model Mojo” with Andrew Nussbaum.
All this and more in the February 2016 issue of The Legend, the only national automotive magazine devoted exclusively to Pontiac’s Great One!
